Job Description |
The radiation therapist is licensed to administer radiation treatments to patients in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the radiation oncologist. The radiation therapist is an integral member of the health care team and collaborates with the radiation oncologist, radiation oncology nurse, medical dosimetrist and physicist to coordinate services, ensure quality patient care and provide continuity of care. During the treatment course, the therapist will contribute to the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient's plan of care.
